Today is Wednesday, June 22nd, and we plan on starting to Colorado this coming Saturday. Toni will have one more physical therapy on Friday before we take off. The PT say she is doing really well.
I have made appointments for her to see an orthopaedic surgeon in Lake City the week after we arrive. The doctor comes to Lake City every other Friday. I also have an appointment for her physical therapy on Wednesday of next week in Lake City after we arrive on Tuesday. We are thrilled that a PT comes to Lake City every Monday and Wednesday so we are set!!
We are hoping for an uneventful trip. We plan to go through Santa Fe this year in order to avoid most of the passes. In order to not wear Toni totally out we plan to only drive to Vernon the first day (193 miles), to Amarillo the second day (180 miles), to Santa Fe on the third day (285 miles), and on to Lake City the last day (250 miles). This is approximately 900 miles spread over 4 days. Hopefully it won't be too bad for her.
